Becoming a member at any church is a significant step in the life of a follower of Christ. At Redemption, church membership is a covenant between you and us to pursue Jesus together through the gospel, in community, and on mission. Because this is such an important step to take, we want to make sure you fully understand the kind of commitment involved and want to take the opportunity to get to know you better along the way.

Becoming a member at Redemption starts with meeting with one of our elders. This is not an interview or interrogation, this just provides the men who are responsible for shepherding our church with the opportunity to visit with you, hear your story, and allow you to ask questions. This could be one meeting or several if that’s helpful, there’s really not a timetable.

If you’re a new believer or have not yet followed in Believer’s baptism, then the elders will recommend you be baptized before becoming a member. To learn more about baptism at Redemption, click here.

Once you and the elders have determined you’re ready, you will fill out a church covenant and then plan to join us at the next members’ gathering where the church will vote to affirm the elders’ recommendation.
